Marketing without video

As an introvert, video marketing doesn’t sound super exciting. No amount of potential β€œvirality or β€œreach” could ever entice you to try it out. If anything, it’s a huge hurdle.

You’ve tried video marketing and it tires you out. Turns out, it takes SO much more time and energy (and mind drama!) to film a one minute video than to write a 2,500 word blog post.

Perhaps you feel that you truly express yourself better through writing πŸ–‹οΈ or drawing 🎨 or speaking πŸŽ™οΈ or anything else that isn’t video. But at the same time, you've been told that video is THE BEST and ONLY WAY to build know, like and trust.

However, my clients and I are the exact opposite. We do marketing WITHOUT video and have a sustainable marketing strategy that is aligned with our energy as introverts πŸ™Œ

This looks like NOT having to adhere to a strict schedule of β€œconsistently” creating content every day 🀧, or writing 15 β€œgenuine” comments and engaging on other people’s posts for 20 minutes a day πŸ₯±, or posting on every single platform to have a β€œwider” reach πŸ˜΅β€πŸ’«.

Because I’m sure you’ve seen tweets, blog posts and even podcast episodes and newsletters go viral. This is literal proof that written and audio content (not only videos) can go viral, have a wide reach and build know, like and trust.

✨ Let’s explore marketing without video and use your introverted-ness and strengths to your advantage.

Doing things differently

From starting a couple of Etsy stores, planning to leave my full-time job, transitioning from employee to business owner, pivoting from Virtual Assistant (VA) to Marketing & Content Strategist to Business Coach, trying new things and so much more, I never had a single label that I could strongly identify with (perhaps other than β€œIntrovert”!).

I’ve always found that I’m unable to neatly fit myself into any boxes, no matter how hard I try. I believe that life is a multi-dimensional + non-linear experience, so there’s NO one specific way that you’re β€œrequired” to live your life.

Starting my entrepreneurship journey was the path that allowed me to do things my way and explore and experience so many different things that I otherwise wouldn’t have.

And as an introvert, I found that doing things the way everyone says should be done, created a lot of friction, mind drama and frustration for me. So I decided to do things differently, in my own way that actually embrace my introverted-ness.

We’re only human and this is our crazy, messy journey. All our paths look so different. There’s nothing that can be compared.

But beyond the numbers, the time and flexibility I now enjoy because of the lifestyle the business affords me is so much more valuable.

πŸ™‹πŸ»β€β™€οΈ Hi, my name is Esther. I’m a Marketing & Content Coach + Marketing Manager + self-taught designer + Etsy shop owner + many other things.

My very first dream (that I can remember) as a child, was to be a writer or author. I dare say I’ve fulfilled 50% of my dream as I primarily write for a living 😊 So the next goal would be to write a book πŸ“– and officially become an author!

I’m based in Singapore πŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬ where I grew up in. I love to travel, eat, read, write, sleep, make drinks (both alcoholic & non-alcoholic), watch K-dramas & 🐱 cat videos, buy aesthetic household items & cute things and be a homebody. I truly enjoy the quiet, introvert life. Lol.

I’m also currently learning web development and search engine optimisation (SEO) to add to my repertoire of skills 😎

✏️ I’m passionate about providing education and work opportunities for women and girls. If you're a non-profit that does this work, please get in touch with me and let's see how we can partner up.
